The Cloud Children's Choir
About Us
The Cloud Children's Choir is New Zealand's leading and largest children's choir, comprising nine choirs located in Takapuna, Epsom, and Botany in Auckland. In the 2023 New Zealand Children's Choir Competition 'Kids Sing', they achieved impressive results with one gold and one silver, and their conductor, Changmuwei Wei, was awarded the prize for Best Conductor.
The Cloud Children’s Choir is open to all 5 to 13 year olds living in Auckland. Everyone is welcome, regardless of ability or prior experience. Just bring your enthusiasm and come sing with us!
We perform a range of classic choral and contemporary works, accompanied by some of New Zealand's finest soloists and groups. Our choir nurture our singers love of singing, improve their skills, performance opportunities and, most of all, having fun.
Changmuwei Wei
Wei’s choral philosophy is to create a virtuous communication cycle with singers and instrumentalists through his gesture, creating music and happiness together through the nurturing of this relationship.
Born in China, Changmuwei Wei is now based in Auckland, New Zealand, and is completing his PhD in Choral Conducting at the University of Canterbury. He is a guest conductor for the Manukau Symphony Orchestra and the Music Association of Auckland, and teaches vocals and piano
